Originally titled Wires to Wrap a Woman Up, Bra questions the role of structure throughout the history of female lingerie.  Comprised of a single length of wire Bra evokes both a sense of the delicate and sinister.

Devoid of the fabric which lends undergarments their modesty and protection, the bra is reduced to its role of shaping the female form to an idealized shape.  From the bustle, to the corset, chastity belt, and bra, metal has been used by men to mold and control the female body.  Protective like armor, restrictive like a cage, and equally strong as it is delicate, Bra presents an complex object which may be both ally and enemy to the empowered woman.
